Employing ALEXANDROS subsystem and leveraging its strategic co-operation with Telecom Egypt, Cyta achieves an optimum configuration for its business needs, enhancing connectivity in the Mediterranean and providing international network robustness and reliability.
An independent private cable subsystem between Cyprus and Greece implemented through a wholly owned express fiber pair on Med Nautilus Cable System. The KIMONAS subsystem interconnects Pentaskhinos landing station in Cyprus directly to Telecom Italia Sparkle’s Chania landing station in Crete.
A private cable subsystem wholly owned by Cyta, consisting of two fiber pairs between Cyprus and Egypt and two fiber pairs between Cyprus and France. The subsystem was implemented through the submarine cable system PEACE MED, connecting Egypt with France and through Pan-European networks, connecting to the rest of Europe and beyond. The ARSINOE Subsystem interconnects Yeroskipos landing station in Cyprus with Abu Talat in Egypt and Marseilles in France, with 2X19.6Tbps towards Marseilles and 2X25Tbps towards Abu Talat.
The addition of the ARSINOE subsystem, in combination with ALEXANDROS and the rest of Cyta’s submarine cable systems enable Cytaglobal to offer high reliability solutions interconnecting the Eastern Mediterranean with Europe.
Our two high-capacity coastal links, TEFKROS and KINYRAS, interconnect all cable landing stations in Cyprus (Ayia Napa, Pentaskhinos and Yeroskipos), thereby securing all-wet routes for regional and international traffic. The two coastal links are further protected with terrestrial self-healing rings.
